Witham u3a Art Appreciation group meets on the third Thursday of the month.
We either meet at a member's home to watch a film on a particular artist or we have a pre-arranged gallery visit.

2025 Programme:

The list of 2025 meetings planned so far is as follows:

January 16th: Gainsborough's House in Sudbury
To see the general collection and 2 special exhibitions:
- '100 years of Fashion Photography' from the NPG, and
- 'The image of the Artists', from the RA
Art Fund members get free entry to the general collection and pay £5 entry to each temporary exhibition.
General admission including temporary exhibitions is £15 to non members.
We will be travelling by train.

February 21st: General meeting

March 20th: We had previously agreed to visit the Munnings Museum in Dedham, however, they do not open until after Easter, so I suggest we reschedule this for May and discuss future visits at the February meeting.

We also agreed to visit Benton End in Hadleigh, which is now part of the Garden Museum. Although it is under reconstruction it can still be visited by booked groups.
