Witham and District (Essex)

Welcome

As with every u3a group the Witham and District (Essex) u3a is for lively-minded older people who meet together for social and learning activities. Those activities are conducted in “Groups” that meet at various venues dependent on the nature of the group activity. Some meet in their own homes when the number of the members in the group are few, whilst others meet outdoors or in public halls.
The variation in groups is large: creative writing, music appreciation, board and card games, rambling, both locally and further afield.
Each Group has a volunteer Coordinator who can be contacted on the 'Groups' page.
The committee welcome suggestions for new Groups and give financial support where necessary.

On the 4th Thursday of the month, (except December) we meet at Witham Town Football Club Hall, Spa Road, Witham, CM8 1UN at 2 pm where we usually have a Guest Speaker and get a chance to meet each other - Tea and Coffee supplied.

Membership is open to anyone no longer in full-time employment and living within the district of Witham in Essex or surrounding areas.

Please read the instructions carefully shown on the Form. Details are also given on how to pay privately using your bank account.

Once your membership fee is processed you will receive an Email with your Membership Number applicable for the current year.

Associate Membership - Allows individuals who are already a full member of another local u3a to join Witham and District (Essex) u3a at the reduced rate of £7.50 per calendar year or part of. When submitting your application you will be required to declare your associate u3a branch name and your membership number for verification.

Annual Subscription: The annual fee is £15.00, reduced to £7.50 if you join after 1^st July. This gives access to all the U3A's activities, although membership of certain groups may incur expenses such as books, materials, travel costs for appropriate outings, etc.
