This is a small group who would welcome new members, complete beginners are very welcome.. Members will get used to the sport and the best way to play it. The woods are much smaller than those used in outdoor green bowls and the rinks are shorter. Indeed, the sport needs a gentle touch.
There are two mats, allowing us to grade the players on each one and provide training and coaching where necessary.
Carpet Bowls runs every Monday from 10am to noon (except Bank Holidays) in the sports hall at the rear of the United Reformed Church in Newland Street, Witham. Beginners, upgraders and competent bowlers all accepted. Two mats available. Training where required.
Weekly cost, depending on attendance runs from £3 to £5.
