Terling Walk - March 2026

Our March walk was in the pretty village of Terling, home of the Rayleigh family for many generations.
We met at the Rayleigh Arms and set off out of the village along country tracks onto the Essex Way.
We continued on through fields with horses and we spotted deer along the way.
With the spire of Fairstead Church in the distance we continued on towards the village and Terling Windmill. Passing the ford we returned through the village with its charming traditional cottages and houses, past the village church we returned to our cars.
Afterwards we drove the short distance to the Six Bells Pub in Boreham for lunch.
Our thanks to Marion and Angela for organising a lovely walk.
