Our April walk was in the historic village of Pleshey led by Heather. We met at the village hall and walked through part of the pretty village famed for its thatched cottages and past the church and tranquil retreat house. Continuing on through farmland we headed into woodland.
We viewed the well preserved earthworks of the 11th century Norman Motte and Bailey Castle
Returning to the village hall we drove to the nearby Rose & Crown pub in Great Waltham for lunch. Our thanks to Heather for leading a really interesting walk.
