Our May visit was to two churches
St Mary’s Kelvedon and All Saints Feering
This visit was organised by group member Ruth Teverson.
We had a new informative speaker at both churches . Kelvedon has wonderful ceiling bosses, ancient tombs and a stained glass window featuring a tortoise!
Feering had to sell its Constable painting to pay for new heating, there is a copy in its place. Like Layer Marney, it has a Tudor brick porch.
