Our competition this year is to grow 'Crown Prince F1 Squash' and Carolyn, one of our members will be the judging our examples.
It's not a too serious competition and Carolyn most definitely is not open to bribes !!
At our last monthly meeting we discussed what we were growing, to say the least it was pretty impressive, see below.

I have sown Money Maker toms, Tabasco chilli. To sow - Femspot cues, Roma & Toddler toms, Scarlet Emperor runner beans, Goldcrest sweetcorn, Hunter & Crown Prince squash, coloured & Chantenay carrots. Safari dwarf beans & Vine climbing French beans, Ambassadors courgettes, Detroit beetroot, various lettuce and herbs. We have garlic, white onions, and Aguadulce Broad beans growing at the allotment. I am also going to try Giant Prague celeriac. I think I am going to be busy!

Most of these are new varieties for us but have been chosen either due to resistance to blight, or rust etc, recommendations on flavour or yield.
