Rivenhall - July 2025

Our July walk was in Rivenhall, led by Jane, ably assisted by Liz.
We met at the Tarecroft Wood car park on a rainy morning, unsure whether our walk would be possible but after discussion we set off with optimism.
We walked along farmland edges, meadows and through Tarecroft and Rivenhall Thicks woods, eventually reaching the John Ray Way. It was a fairly flat walk, just a few brambles and some uneven ground.
As we walked the sun came out and shone for us. There were numerous insects, wild flowers,
berries and fungi along the way.
On our return we drove the short distance to Cressing Temple Barns for lunch, where one of our members celebrated a birthday after an excellent walk.
