Redundant Church in Mundon - August 2025

In August we decided to visit the redundant church in Mundon near Maldon; it was restored and is cared for by the Friends of Redundant churches. When we eventually found it, it was as if we had stepped back in time. This beautiful building was created from stone, brick and especially wood, on St Peter's Way between Ongar and Bradwell on Sea next to 800 year old petrified oaks.
We also visited All Saints Maldon, the only church in England with a triangular tower. It has a window presented by the people of Maldon Massecheusetts to commemorate George Washingtons great great grandfather who is buried her.
