This month's Stroller's walk was in Dedham in the heart of Constable Country.
We gathered at the Mill Lane Car Park in Dedham on a sunny morning.
The walk started from the Main Street in Dedham taking us across pastures to join the River Stour to Flatford. At Flatford Mill we stopped for coffee. Some of us walked down to Willy Lott's Cottage and there was also the Wildlife Garden or Bridge Cottage and Constable Art Exhibition and gift shop to explore.
Our return walk was via the Lock featured in one of Constable's Paintings and then across fields to Dedham. The walk was a little longer for us at 4 miles and the temperature rose as we walked.
On our return, lunch was at the Rose Tea Room in Dedham where we enjoyed a welcome lunch, refreshing drink and cool down.
Our thanks to Heather for a super walk.
