Our not too serious 2026 competition was to grow
a large straight carrot.
The carrot was the Marion F1 variety and the winner by a huge amount literally, was Sally and Steve.
It was almost 10 inches long (25cm) !!
The carrot has a rich orange colour and is winter hardy so it’s suitable for year-round growing. It will be interesting to see what early new year pickings are like.
The worst carrot grown seemed to be a question mark ?
