Our April walk was led by Sheena & Jane and started at the Ship Inn in Tiptree. Although closed the pub kindly allowed us to park for the duration of our walk. Sixteen members set off on a dry sunny morning with some parts of the route a little muddy, but we were prepared and undaunted !
The walk took us along field edges village footpaths and past the Tiptree Jam Factory with rows of pretty apple blossom, some noisy geese, a spring, a water tower, a lake, plus the bluebells were blooming.
On our return we drove to the nearby Perrywood’s Garden Centre for lunch, where there was plenty of space for us and good food and service. We even had a friendly robin who joined our table.
